flame angle

i've been contemplating to acquire one for my tank, but it is full of corals.

is it reef safe? coz it been advise not to keep them but i've see some display tanks at shop with them in.

am confused.anybody care to share their experience.?

They are not advisable to keep due to their unique diet of only copepods. Some reefers managed to train them to eat frozen food. I would say at least a 3footer is required for one mandarin so as to have enough pods among the rocks.

Flame angels r not 100% reef safe as there's a chance that they might nip at corals. They r however consider the safest of dwarf angels species to keep in a reef tank as some dun bother and leave corals alone. 50-50 chance I would say. Mine do nip at corals and I'm trying to get it out now.

Flames Are Hit or miss..depends on the fish..sometimes will leave alone or might have a fiesta with corals espicially scolly's,brain's more to LPS Corals..
