Hey guys, I have a question regrading stray voltage, anyway to check for this?

Today I was doing some maintanence and got a shock on my finger where there's a cut.

I only have 3 Equipments, wp25, HOB Filter and a HOB ROBH1000

A lightest but that doesn't touch the water anw.

U need to get a voltmeter to test for stray voltage in the tank. Isolate all equipment and switch on one a time till u get a sudden surge in reading.

Happened to me before. Im now using a grounding probe as reef octopus is not willing to replace the pump, the distributor in singapore considers it to be in the "safe" range. Sigh. everyday tio shock also can consider safe.

Oh okay.. Will try to do so, but I can only feel it if I have a cut, if not I don't feel it haha.

I think probably only my wavemaker ( only wire in water ) or my HOB Filter ( 2 pin so not earthed )

What kind of 2 pin is it?

Some of the Euro 2 pin can actually be earthed if the right adapter is used.

If always feeling the shock, beware as it might be some symptom of Equipment failure...

It happened to me, the main water pump causing a pwr trip and my tank went dark for 2days before i got a new pump...

Before that i almost got electrical shock everyday :big_boss:

Now everything goes normal without shock
