SRC Member Yono_Pranata Posted June 13, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 13, 2015 Hi all, Today mark my 7 days of cycling. SRC Member Yono_Pranata Posted June 13, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 13, 2015 Went Ah Beng and bought the following CUC with a help from fellow reefers here! Hahaha 2 sands shifting starfishs 1 hermit crab 1 Tiger tail sea cucumber 4 sands shifting snails 2 tuxedo urchin Let's see in a weeks time to see how hard-working are my CUCs... Cheers and Happy Reefing Quote Display Tank: 3x2x2 feet (12mm Crystal Glass) Sump Tank: 2.5 feet with 4 compartments "Reef Maniac - Ninja: Fish and Coral don't wait for you!" SRC Member illumnae Posted June 15, 2015 SRC Member Share Posted June 15, 2015 Sand sifting stars are risky in a new tank - you may not have enough detritus and microorganisms in your sand to sustain them, and they may end up starving to death and fouling your water. SRC Member Yono_Pranata Posted June 15, 2015 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks bro! In fact my sand shifting starts eaten by hermit crab.. Will get the hermit crab out soon. Thanks for your advise bro! Cheers Quote Display Tank: 3x2x2 feet (12mm Crystal Glass) Sump Tank: 2.5 feet with 4 compartments "Reef Maniac - Ninja: Fish and Coral don't wait for you!" SRC Supporter SubzeroLT Posted June 15, 2015 SRC Supporter Share Posted June 15, 2015 The hermit crabs must be really hungry. Perhaps give it a super small piece of prawn meat. Just test the water parameter and here are the result: Ammonia: 0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate 50ppm (I guess - between 25 to 50 ppm) I think cycling process finished already - but I will just wait for another week to change the water and transfer my live stock from previous tank Quote Display Tank: 3x2x2 feet (12mm Crystal Glass) Sump Tank: 2.5 feet with 4 compartments "Reef Maniac - Ninja: Fish and Coral don't wait for you!"
