Hey guys !

I was wondering if you guys experience the same thing as me. Okay i bought this 2 nice crocea. Both have a tint of green on their mantle when i purchased it. When i placed them in the tank and view them from the front, their colors are blue and brownish. But when i view them from the tank top, its beatifully green!

pardon me for not knowing but is the the result of the lighting and reflections of light into water? if so, how can i best display so i can see the green color ?? hehhee thanx!!!

Yep clams look different when viewed in different angles

If you are a clam lover (like a bro here), you can get this dedicated tank for clams

Dear Clam Owners

Just a question, hope it will not sound stupid... :D

I always see clams being placed in such a manner that the "bigger" mouth is at the lower end, will it be ok if i place my clam with the "bigger" mouth at the upper end?

Thanks in advance!

It is a preferred way that the clam will position itself in nature.

I have placed one upside down for 1/2 a year and nottin happens. The clam will try its best to reposition upright, even it may seems upside down from the front of the tank, but it is not, just our visual point of view.

Thanks bro nakazoru, when i place it in the "correct" position, it always fall on 1 side, but if i put it with the "big mouth" on top, it will stay nicely in position. If it's fine, I will leave it in the "incorrect" position.

But 1 observation, the clam seems to open up more nicely in the "correct" position....
