I was using eheim hose... but very ugly and after some time the hose gets dirty inside...

May I ask what happens when there is too much turns?? what's the effect??

You get headloss. For every 90 degree turn, I think there is 25% loss of flow if I remember correctly.

Water flow still quite strong as I'm using Eheim 1060 for my 2.5ft, 40gal tank...
