SRC Member hotlemond Posted January 26, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 26, 2005 you can try making a trap to see if it will work. here's the link: http://saltaquarium.about.com/library/weekly/aa012800d.htm sometimes it could be just pistol shrimp. If you hear one to two popping or clicking sounds at any a time, mostly its a pistol. But if the sound is quite continous and varies, and that you have alot of missing snail/fish/inverts, then maybe its a mantis. Do observe. I read from the net that sometimes clownfish make noise too. ... mmm i dun know too, dun fire me.... Anybody wants to share??

wonder
Just to share This is how i caught my mantis last time. Frankly, this mantis is friendly and did not harm anything in my tank but the sound is too loud that make me fear that it might go mad and do some . Left it in my sump. I put small prawn meat inside the contianer and after two days, it was caught. good luck
