but the holes are so small.... and they are likely to be behind or covered with liverocks..... will there be any circulation then?

That means you will be fitting them to the pump output?

From the design....I don't think so..... If so, that is good->no dead spot within the liverocks.

Thats a very good question, Kreen. Technically speaking, I really dont think drilling the small holes in the pvc will help that much.

However, since the whole point of putting in the PVC frame is to allow more circulation, drilling in more holes will kind of take that further. The holes will allow water to flow through, negativing dead spots that might be further blocked by the pvc. Moreover, more options as a "love hotel" for the little pods - it will act like an intank refugium.

Hope that helps.

Very nice setup photos seamonkee, are you going to have some African fishes in your tank to go with your house deco?

African flame back angel. :yeah::yeah::yeah:

African flame back angel? Never heard of...

Honestly, I was into african cichlids before going into marine...

Initially, My plan was to have rock caves behind and then a half buried antelop skull (which I am selling now).... then throw in some african cichlids...

Then... I step into marine.. the rest is history... no turning back... arrgghhh....

Somehow another, now cichlids look very drappy to me as compared to the flashy colours of the marine fishes... hahaha... :lol:

Nope... not connecting to the output flow...

In any case, I will probably bring lower the return pump (left side) for water flow in the "caves" behind the rocks....

There's another return pipe on the right side...

Return pump using MAK4....
