I juz found out yesterday that there are crabs in my LR... will it do any harm to my tank or fishes...

IMO it is better to remove any crab at sight

Get a pair of good aquarium tongs.... at night, you can catch crabs with it.

Crabs are bad, they are the main suspect of the sudden disapearance of my purple fire goby..

But the crabs are so quick... they hide before the tong can get near it....

if you wan to keep fishes like triggers and harlequin tusk....crab is no problem man....I have never seen a crab in my wife's tank

Depends on what type of crabs lah. Some can be herbivorous n help to get rid of algae. My moon wrasse & clown trigger helps to keep my crab population in check. Only my hermits still going strong hahaha.

hm.... hard to catch.. i have quiet alot of 2-3 inches crabs in my tank.. but till now.. only my mandarin *vanish*

emerald mithrax crab, procelain anemone crab & sally lightfoot. generally useful scavengers and not harmful unless it gigantic sized.

i caught 5 crab from my tank so far... just saw another 1cm size yesterday... will catch it soon..

I had crabs doing benchpress with my corals before, some of which fell onto each other ... I'm sure you can fill in the rest ...

Then again, they're useful picking up uneaten food and have been seen picking the rocks.

There are some useful DIY crab traps you can use, just do a search.

this crab cost me $18 !!

got it from Marine Life preety good so far , only eatting my green hair algea and my coraline algea ..

i think mine is emerald crabs... there are abt 4-5 of it....shouldnt be a prob rite...
