Depends on what type of crabs lah. Some can be herbivorous n help to get rid of algae. My moon wrasse & clown trigger helps to keep my crab population in check. Only my hermits still going strong hahaha.

emerald mithrax crab, procelain anemone crab & sally lightfoot. generally useful scavengers and not harmful unless it gigantic sized.

I had crabs doing benchpress with my corals before, some of which fell onto each other ... I'm sure you can fill in the rest ... ;)

Then again, they're useful picking up uneaten food and have been seen picking the rocks.

There are some useful DIY crab traps you can use, just do a search.

this crab cost me $18 !!

got it from Marine Life preety good so far , only eatting my green hair algea and my coraline algea ..
