wet for me...

there this about dry, sludge skimate, which was proven by Dr. Ron (the same DSB guy) who says that it contains about 4500 ppm N to 250 ppm P or a ratio of 40:1... and it was because of this that cause the current wave in dry dark skimate. Normal skimate is 25:1

wet because it takes two things out, phyto in the night, and bacteria in the day.

Gosh, look like a lot more reefers go for the wet skimmate. :o

Frankly I have always tune my skimmer to get dry skimmate since starting on Beckett and I wonder other than easier to clean, are there any other reasons for the the wet skimming? Is it really more efficient? If yes, how is it more efficient? :huh:
