growth question

Not all milleporas got white growth tips. It's mainly the pink or salmon pink or RED milleporas that have the white growth tips but not necessary the rule. There are some with blue growth tips, think the pink with blue growth tips one, very much sought after. Purple normally have blue or purple growth tips. Green or yellow have lime green growth tips. Blue will normally have light blue growth tips.

So your mille is growing ok bro. :)

I notice when the growth is faster the growth tip colour turn lighter. Maybe you milles are not growing much yet but be patient, give it good flow and light, it will take off. :)

And stop adding in nonsense fish which will make you put your hand in the tank everytime to adjust your corals. Keep your hand out of your tank as much as possible. <_<

Ya lor...hehe.... Actually milli polyps too long hide the milli real colours, i prefer them not extending the polyp too much...anyone knows the reason why in some tanks, their polyps were all stretched out whilst some tanks exhibit millis with short polyps?

Do you think it's the Aminos dosing?

For my tank, all the millis stretched out their polyps and i dose Aminos.

i hv the same experience too. all milliporas, in fact, most of my sps extend long polyps (with the exception of acropora echinata). wonder issit due to the random doses of amino acids.

Sorry to interrupt... but I understand that besides a better polyp extension when dosing amino acids, amino acids also gives the SPS a better "defence" in protecting its tissues... izit true?

Also, are there any other benefits to dosing amino acids? :P

:thanks:
