Bought this from someone in Jan 03 with the following description at that time:

Brand: Kulthorn Kirby- Tecumseh Compressor Leadership and drum compartment

is Armstrong.

Warranty: No valid as it has just turned 1 year old but only used for 3

months.

Original price: $1800

Asking price: will accept any reasonable offer.

Capacity = Max for 6 feet tank. Was using it for 5 feet tank

Size = Entire unit about 70cm length, 35cm width and 30cm height.

Temp range = minus 5 to 35 degrees but best within 0 to 30 degrees

Temp difference = 3 to 12 degrees

Reason for selling: position is too near my baby's craddle and the warm air produced affects my baby - also lead to quarrel with wife, although she is supportive of my hobby generally. The living rm is quite cramp so I can't move it anywhere else.

Bought @ $800. Will let go at reasonable price. Test to satisfaction before commitment.

forgot to mention that it is currently used to cool my 4 x 2 ft tank. can cool to below 20 degrees if you like.

can cool a pail of water to below 10 degrees within 1/2 hour

any control of temperature set?

seem quite primitive leh.

not sure about HP but to be able to cool up to 6 ft, i wld reckon it is at least 1/2 if not 1 HP.

temperature settings are manual with a knob. can even set below 0 degrees though I hvn't tried. I tried setting at 15 degrees for a pail of water and it works!

You actually trying to sell "that thing"? Is it working? If I have that, I think my wife will start screaming at me. My kids may get electricuted.

It looks like a time bomb. Tell you what i will pay $50 to remove from my house it i have it.

whats wrong with it. its just a chiller without the casing..... and lots of rust.. and looks 10 years old not 1.. thats all

This kind of chiller is really powerful.... is for seafood restaurant (for Australian lobster)

I believe that is a good chiller , for those who needs to cool your tank go ahead. Worth the money. Now you know why your wife can't stand it. She goes for looks.

I am using a five blade make in Japan plastic fan! Ha ha ha.

I am looking for a cooler but i still love my wife. Maybe want I want her to leave, i will get "That Thing".
