Tiny brittle stars FS

My tank got one big decorator crab, and one big hermit crab (blue colour).

LS includes tangs, one old blue fin damsel(big bully) and one fierce fire clown...so if i get the brittle stars from venezia... would it it like buying tasty appetizers for my fishes?? dnt wish to kill the sea stars... have make a lot of mistakes esp in the 1st 1.5 years in keeping marine... ending many fishes/invert lives prematurely..

well, even though ive read online posts of accounts where people said their orange striped hermit ate a starfish, i think its more of the situation whereby the hermit scavenged on a dead star. the blue legged variety is the way safer bet anyways, being the only reef safe hermit in my opinion so i dont think the hermit will be a problem.

the decorator i doubt will prove a problem either, if you feed it adequately. the decorators require more direct feeding as they will hardly touch algaes within the tank unlike the hermit. decorators do threaten corals by tearing off sponges and soft corals to decorate their shells for camoflage but doubt theyll do that with brittle stars.

if your tank conditions are stable, and your tangs have been doing fine with you for some time, then id recommend the brittles. theyre extremely hardy, and a great clean up crew. therell be no lack of food for them with the tangs poo-ing in your tank.

yes, i m busy trying to catch the stars but at the same time also careful not to deplete my tank's own clean up crew .. so be patient ya. when i gotten yours, i will get back to u.
