Its something that i used to do with my heel-toe the last time...

basically it means to

a. clutch in,

b. go to neutral,

c. clutch out,

d. rev a bit,

e. clutch in,

f. move to a higher gear,

g. clutch out again.

its simple thou but different cars takes some time to get used to...it maintains the smoothness of going into corners and are said to reduce the wear and tear of ur gearbox.

Dunno about wear and tear, but I used to do that when I was driving manual, engine smoother when changing down your gear and also, when cornering, you dun lose that much power while changing gears...

i think u mean rev match ( ie you have to know what gear runs at what rpm at what speed ) , which is a LOT more complicated then " rev a bit " .
