what happened to my zoos??

my RPE....

they all used to open as big as the polyp in the middle,

now all look limpy... =( why why why?? all other corals in the tank are fine, mushrooms and hammer coral. but the zoos seem to be disappearing...

do you know why? what can i do?

1 possible reason, your zoos got nubi.

Nudi eggs could be in the zoos during your earlier fresh water dip. If I were you I will do another 5 mins FW dip and spray with water jet on the zoos.

fresh water dip not so effective... shake the zoo inside the freshwater and u will c lots of unwanted staff dropping out.. my 2cents

Yeah... Bro, Flame-tail, abuses his zoos! He shake the zoos in FW, rinse them under the tap, use pincers to manually pinch nudis out, even use a syringe to blast FW onto them! But... his Zoos still look great after all that torture!

Yup and they are quite hard to spot as they can change their colour to match your zoos.

So if you suddenly see a part of your zoo not opening. Look carefully around the tip and the stem of the polyps.
