SRC Member tineng Posted November 4, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted November 4, 2005 Guys in view of all those bidding for 'rare' stuff going on (including a rare one with Royal Gamma disgusing as a dottyback.... ) i'm putting up one of my super rare SPS for a bid..... It the ultra rare, Acropora Lesitbehtill (pronouced as Li-xi-beh-T). Its light purple tip with brown body....but what make this peice special is that under low light condition its body turned to INTENSE brown and under super high light it turns to pestal white. Definately a versatile piece of acro. Suitable for both beginner and expert..... I would like to show you a photo, but unfortunately, my dog eat the only copy of the jpeg file i have of it......but rest assure that i will give you a full refund if it doesn't turn to intense brown when place under low light conditions (of course your water parameter is suitable for this rare color) anyway, bid starts at $30 with each increament of $30...bid closes 31 Nov, but i would reserve the right to close the bid early if the amount far exceed my expectation. Finally, i would like the bidding to be as transparent as possible, so please only reply to this thread....

SRC Member tineng Posted November 4, 2005 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 4, 2005 Bro.. I was genuienly cheated and sold dottyback as royal gramma. Please dun rub salt into my wound. U like it this way if u happen to be cheated? nope.....acutally this thread is more of a tongue-in-cheek protest of what is going on in SRC.......recently i notice a trend in SRC where buy/sell is simply getting too silly, every things seems to be put on a bidding system....i personally know of 2 senior reefer who are taken aback by the price that was offered for some of the items they put on bid.....so much so that they stop the bid early to get things from going out of hand (must admit its good stuff, but at 3-4 times the cost of similar grade of corals???)!!!....now there are a number of reefer (not just you) putting things up for bid without even correctly identifingly the stuff they are selling....when faced with a similar species of fishes/coral they simply pick the most 'profitable' name to sell instead of doing their due dilligent!!! Buyers on the other hand are also not much better off.....they seems to have the mentalitiy that as long as its a bid and i win, i'll don't care.....1 or 2 incident i don't really mind because people might just be willing to pay for that premium.....but almost all case of bids are now ending in very 'unreal' amount of $$$ changing hand! Even in this post i have bro PM to try to arrange other deal!!! Obviously, they just don't do their home work!!!! come on, closing on 31 of this month, dog eat my JPEG file, intense bro.....Acropora Lee-shi-bay-te......translate to hokkien....you get the message!!!! Brothers/Sister of SRC, time to wake up.....i think alot of external reefers from all over are having a good laugh of what going on in here!!!!!! Brothers/Sister of SRC, time to wake up.....i think alot of external reefers from all over are having a good laugh of what going on in here!!!!!! Second you. It is a bit nonsense that this auction is getting the toll in SRC. Should redirect to yahoo auction or ebay. I more than willing to give stuff FOC to SRC members if I have little use anymore. The SRC spirit. I notice that when reefers give up hobby, they still wana recover same cost. Some even more ex than LFS. But I juz keep my mouth shut. So it dun affect their sales. But some credit to some seller who is still has a SRC spirit, I dun need to mention who, stop auction early. Some stuff are also really gem. Like the gonio I bought... Cheers. SRC Member Clownfish Posted November 5, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted November 5, 2005 i personally tink that reefers ought to noe the market price of some stuffs before they bid! some stuffs dun really cost so much... even if it's rare... maybe just rare due to season... . . . . . . . . . . . .
