bought 3 purple flame gobies each about 2" length according to lfs advice more than a week ago. All of them are eating well and healthy... two of my gobies have paired up and often seen swimming together. these few days they are often spotted to be kissing or pushing each other with their lips. a point to note is that they are not hurting each other in any other way. wonder if this is a normal sign? anyone knows how to tell a male from a female? advice, anyone??

...what are u missing from your life?... dun wait till your last breathe before telling them that you care

Marine fish do not kiss.

That is a sign of aggression. They are biting each other's jaws.

You probably got two males fighting.

BTW, what's a purple flame goby??

Purple Firefish you mean?

most of the times they "kiss" it's quite gentle and they dun chase one another around or show any aggression lei...lol... <_<

unless you have the ability to speak or understand fish lingo, I doubt you'd know if they're really kissing or showing aggression. but in this case I'd go with AT and say that its a sign of aggression as its known that marine fishes do not kiss or show such...public display of affection in that sense.
