Hmmm.... your MH reflector's design is extremely bad. There is no maximising of the reflective surface... its like a box where the light will bump into the each other and not go down. Only the bottom of the bulb will beam straight down. Best to get a spiderlight reflector design or you'll really be wasting light!

I did not have that intention of making a spiderlight reflector in the 1st place...or i would have made it when constructing the extension :P ...Becos there no space left for it,so left with no choice. :( So long as the specimens in my tank are doing fine...i dun think i will be making any changes to the light hood.After all its temporary!!!!

Xtra precaution i just took.Added a netting to the overflow chamber to eliminate that 1 percent possibility.But until now i have no conclusion to how it can end up in the sump....Lucky i have two overflows and it chose to go to the free end one instead of the other where it will flow into a t join pipe with both ends capped.That pipe only have small holes drilled in it for even distribution of water.....Should it have gone there there will be no turning back
