Nice DIY, bro! Will there be any heat issues causing the acrylic to warp?

Hi bro,

I'm using 2 strong 12V DC Fans which usually uses for plasma or LCDTV and 5 air ventalisation holes at left and right side panel to disperse heat liao :eyebrow: !

Below the LEDs is the 2mm glass filter so there is no direct light shining to the acrylic sheet and my guess it should be OK lor  !

I have measured the temperature of 10 Royal Blues after running for 8 hrs by Fluke digital thermometer when initial setup time and surprisingly, it was less than 32 degree :eyebrow: !

Currently, I dun have the thermometer on hand...but will do it again with all 22 LEDs light on when I have it :eyebrow: .

super impressive! the light fixture is neat! and seems like you put alot of thought into your sump, convenient access to the skimmer cup and u even left a wierd gap in the wetdry box, just for the out flow from your skimmer! impressive!

Impressive diy for ur LED lighting. More pics more pics!

Thanks....but no more picture for this lighting liao...Why :whistle ?

B'cos' I'll be designing another new LED lighting of 33 leds and it has the extra space to extend another 4 pcs to 37 pcs incase of future needs.:eyebrow:.

This lighting includes combination of Royal Blue and Pure white, 3W UV LEDs which I heard n learnt from a few forums that UV promote better colouration and growth for SPS, coral... :yeah: . Beside that, I'm able to have a better lighting coverage for my 2ft cube to cater more corals to add in  !

Casing will be using Acrylic as well but may be using coloured instead of black. In mind, I'm planning to use adjustable alumimum square rod for positioning but not confirm yet  .

Currently, I'm sourcing for more LEDs, Star boards, 40/60 degree collimatosr from asia online store which previously what i have done before :whistle .

As of today, some LEDs are already on the way from HK... :eyebrow:

Stay tune :D .

Currently not much coral and fishes as I'll slowly...really slowly top up as time go by :whistle .
