Welpro 2011 with Weipro 3000

Hi there,

I have with me Welpro 2011 with Weipro 3000.

Having been thinking on how to adjust the water level in the skimmer so it will be around the mark indicated on it.

Can't find any gauge/level on the skimmer or the pump to do it

Kindly help out

dude i'm not sure about 2011 but for my 2012 theres a knob on and off near the outlet.... check it out

so is that suppose to regulate the amt of water in the skimmer?

tried turning that knob but it's super tight.....so not sure if i'm suppose to turn it....jus in case the whole thing crack

2011 also same...use the outlet throttling valve to adjust the outflow rate. do not follow the waterline sticker on the skimmer...adjust the water level to near the back o-ring at the neck.

for me i do that lah not sure if suppose to though but if you dun do that you'll probably not get good skim-mates

Wow, u are using ph 3000 for 2012? Hows the skim output? Will it over power?

Brought 2011 for 2 days liao, adjusted water level to O ring, yet still NOTHING. Sian.......... btw, how long to run in???

skimmer works by getting the breakdown organic waste by bubbles..tat is the waste is export via bubbles. this bubbles will slowly fill up the cup. u note the funnel when new is clean.. slowly after the PH pump around, these bubbles will accumulate at the funnel. then these bubbles will "stack" upon each other. as times goes by, the bubbles will overflow funnel n drip onto the cup. then u get your skimmate.

tat's why some skimmer has veri long tube, where all the bubbles can be slowly generated n accumulate to the top, then stack. more efficient.

I open abt half of the valve, but 2011 does take slowly to get the skimmate in my situation. 2012 veri fast. also depends alot on your tank feeding pattern n such.. my 2012 is using on reef/fish tank. 2011 only fowlr.

run in depends on different skimmers. as in, different skimmers = different piece.

older ones.. esp when the funnel is damn dirty..

solid. mine 2days later comes out kopi-o again..

so go for 2nd hand skimmer.. haha!
