suns and super suns love places with dim lights and very good flow :) in fact, most important for them is the flow. its interesting to note that it is extremely common to find sun corals growing upside down, horizontally, vertically, and in almost every possible degree of orientation in the wild. mostly on rocks. so it doesnt really matter which way you put them. so long as they get their flow and most importantly food, you are good to go.

spawning does occur in the home aquaria. its a very interesting sight to behold as they release planula lavae all over your tank. and soon you will have babies growing on the rocks. i have around 100+ babies but its hard to feed them...so left with 5 big ones now :(

here's a photo from wetwebmedia of them growing upside down. polyps here are not extended. Hope this helps you! cheers

Thanks Lemon,

I have set my MP10 to short pulse and the suns tentacles are swaying, so i guess they should be alright.

upside down in their natural habitat... hehe.... too bad cannot do that in our tanks. ==> dunno how to target feed upside down suns.

lots to read up on.... :)

So you were the one with the fast hands fast legs! I was interested in the suns too, but saw that it was reserved. -_-

Using the balloon stick method? I just got my balloon stick... hehe.

no idea how to feed it yet.... I just decided to get the Suns but did not know they were such nice suns and super trained.

very happy.

how often should i feed them and with what?

Hi Jacky, (sry if I may address you as Jacky)

Hows the LED light getting along? Is it good, better than MH?

I'm looking at getting that LED you're using?

Do you think a 160W LED panel would be an overkill for a tank somewhere about your size or slightly bigger?

Sincerely hope you can give me some comments/recommendations?

Could you also pm me where I can buy that LED of yours from?

Thank you.
