yo,

went to hardward shop recently and saw a helogen light that look similar to MH light.

was wondering if anyone has used it to subsittude MH light.

never actually see the light being turn on...dunno how bright is it!! but helogen light is surely cheaper then MH light.

Halogen lights, though very bright to the eyes, have terrible PAR (photosynthetic available radiation) because the spectrum is far too red. It will not benefit the corals at all.
