Can add la... My rudimentary understanding is don't add, bacteria will grow eventually. Add, bacteria will also grow. All also bac, add sooner or later will still be bac :P

I think Comy is right. I cannot find anything that states otherwise in the web.

Hahah!Im also excited to finish the cycle!but the water parameters are just discouraging!LOL

Maybe you can add another layer of acrylic/glass to reduce the light intensity?

Im using 5MM acrylic already...not sure if more acrylic will dilute the light...will find out after i am able to get some corals in

Think if really the corals cant take it i might have to modify the casing to let it hang

hmm I would rather start from less light to more light than vice versa. Coz I think cfm chop guarantee your lights too strong le :P Btw, I think the min. distance from LEDs to water surface is 6 inches, and even then, you should light acclimatize your corals from the bottom in a 2ft tank depth. With your pico, I guess the only way is higher lighting fixture.

Actually think you are right Acrylic might not dilute so much light compared to glass...

You are add a glossy tape on your acrylic to reduce the glare or move your light higher up and further away from the water top

Err...ok i should do a large water change now right?

Can i start adding some clean up crew?(reccomendations?)Looks like hair algae is taking over....did some manual plucking just now!

Comments welcomed!

If kiasu can check your parameters again on wed to see if it's really stabilised, then a 50% Wc would be good.

Yupz, you should be able to add a clean up crew next week. so what's your stock list?
