Adult Chevron

may i ask what is the point of this thread? besides knowing if anyone kept a chevron tang before. this is a rather "common", occasionally available, and easy fish to keep as with most other bristletooth tangs. keping it from juvenile to adult just takes time.

oh, i actually like the adult better. but most of the time, when bros talk about chevron tang, it's usually the juvenile that is attractive to most. so i wanted to know if the LFS does bring in the adult, or will have to raise it from juvenile only. thanks.

Hi bro, didn really keep one but knew ppl who kept, the orange body will slowly turned to brown but body lines will still be there. In actual fact, not really brown cos it does display some purplish colour at the body and fin under blue light. Hope this help.

Has anyone kept an adult Chevron before? Or has any bro here managed to keep to juvenile till it changes to an adult?

Thanks.

If you thinking of getting an adult then you might want to consider Kole. Quite similar to Chervon adult except the yellow ring on the eyes.

me keep chevron before from juv to adult and only take not more than 6 months time fully change to adult coloration without notification ... suddenly realize the color fully change already never know when it change ... juv are nicer with orange body and blue line but when adult become dark brown body with very dim white line ... when aggressive will be nicer with dark orange color but normally u wont realize there is a chevron in your tank lar haha ... dun think LFS will bring in adult fish cos no demand also nobody going to pay for a brown color fish with that expensive price ...

pic taken few years back during my chevron aggressive against others fish ...

Personally, l think kole tang is nicer if compared to an adult chervon. Like that yellow ring around the eye.
