Hey everyone,am keen on buying a flame hawk,just wanted to know if they have any pros or cons

Pros: easy to keep, stay small and not active so does not require big tank, and of course a deep beautiful red is unique to this hawkfish.

Cons: cant think of any except that it'll possibly eat v small inverts like v small shrimps.

Where to get: Now LFS dun hav, mux wait for shipment and normally during flamehawk season, many LFS will carry them. Or can see if there's anyone here selling. Price about 60.

it can be an aggressive fish towards basslet, small fish etc. Personally, encountered it whacking my royal gamma, black cap, anthias, etc. It will not chase them like mad but will strike when near them. For yr consideration.

so far no problems with this guy. no aggression with my otherfishes. likes to swim round my tank in circles non stop the whole day. likes to perch on betta boxes, wavemaker and magnets. looks very blur and cute. only available from hawaii shipments. so keep a lookout. yep, most LFS will carry them if they're in season.
