Nice looking tank... can add some more live rocks and corals.. Fish wise, i think you have some of the more aggresive fishes like tomato clown and the yellowtail damsel so must be careful of what else u adding :P

Thanks, ketchup. Will gradually add cured liverock and coral. Fishwise, dream fish to add is a longfin fairy wrasse (if can find one), but, as u warned, the damsels are a threat..

Humble setup since 1st Jan 2010 :

3 x 1.5 x 1.5 sumpless, 2 x T5 39W white, 2 x T5 39W actinic, Tunze 9005, Hydor K1, Eheim 2026, fan (no chiller). 20% weekly WC.

nice tank! like that open scaping that you have.. that gonio is HUGE!!

Thanks, ray. That gonio was the only impulse buying livestock I did - saw it, liked it, bought it and THEN researched about it in the net.

If I only did the proper way, which is the other way round, I would have learned to avoid it, because I learned that even some experts find it impossible to keep gonios alive for more than a year or so. :(

Humble setup since 1st Jan 2010 :

3 x 1.5 x 1.5 sumpless, 2 x T5 39W white, 2 x T5 39W actinic, Tunze 9005, Hydor K1, Eheim 2026, fan (no chiller). 20% weekly WC.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement.

Am thinking of adding T5HO's and liverock, before adding more corals. :heh:

i personally find it hard to maintain lps colours without a chiller. previously i had mannyyyyy problems with lps bleaching due to fluctuating temp. try finding a second hand one on the fourm! shouldn't cost you too much for a 3' :)

Another 2 more T5HOs would be good. But are you intending to keep SPS also? Otherwise, I do think that with a 1.5' height tank, 2 T5s may be sufficient.

Actually, SPS will be too demanding for me and i'm avoiding them. Having said that, I note yr view that 2 T5s may be sufficient for a 1.5' height tank. Thank u, peter sir..

  • 1 month later...

Dreaded ich wiped out :

- Flame Angel

- Coral Beauty

- Tomato Clown

- 2 Anthias

:cry2:

Learned about Octozin tablets quite late, but it saved :

- Yellow Tang

- Blue/yellow damsels

:)

Corals (LPS), shrimps & snails seem not affected by Octozin.

Here are latest pics, taken on 04 Apr 2010.
