Yeah don't get too bothered by it....

This is a long term tool. As long as you are contributing to the forum and making good sensible postings.

Over time, your rep point will move up.

** clap clap ..... :)

Much to learn from you on this aspect Ducados! bowdown.gif

I was advised by Victor (Iwarna) before that NSW need to be used within 2 - 3 days without aeration.

With aeration, then you can keep as long as you want.

The main advantage of using NSW is because of its beneficial organisms in the water.

WIthout the aeration, the organisms will die. How much does the death of these organisms affect the water, then I do not know.

I do know of reefers who bought NSW and store them without aeration and used them over a period of 1 month.

They claim that there is no detrimental effect.

but do note that NSW often comes with varying water parameters. The water you bought today can have totally different parameters with the batch of water you buy a month later. Even basic thing like salinity can be different.

Hence it is better to do a detail test on the various water parameters before adding to your tank for each batch of NSW purchased.

well said bro... glad you did not take it to heart..

reef on guys..

just a note.. i'm a firm believer of Saltmix.. had bad experience with NSW before... that being said, there are still lots of benefits to using NSW other then the fact that its convinient and cheap..

A man with a reef tank is a man with an empty wallet...

Hahaha yea

keep on reefing(walking)

Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.
