How do you keep your skimmer from over flowing? I am using a ehiem 1260 with a 2014 for my 2 feeter and the bubbles was just nice reaching the O-ring. If I had used a 2011, I am definitely sure that the skimmer would have overflow.

Can someone advice if the bubbles in the skimmer should be rushing up or just slowly flowing up? I have a mini in-tank skimmer made in germany but it produces only like brownish water, nothing like the kopi-o i understand i should have, izit becoz my bubbles are too strong? Pls advice...

Hi,

Slightly off topic, hope you all can advice me.. Currently my 2012 (with a 2200L/h ph)water level is set at the black O ring mark, foaming ok->well. The problem is that the skimmer's output has lots of air bubbles too, can be seen even in the output clear piping of the skimmer.

Any method to reduce or eliminate the excessive bubbles at the output? Now having lots of tiny bubbles in the tank even when using the sponge that came with it.... :thanks::thanks:

Thanks for all the advice given :thanks: , checked the output for leaks cant find any. Decided to use the sponge that came with the PS, did reduce the tiny bubbles by a fair bit...

Funny thing is that after running the skimmer for abt 6days, the bubbles i previous observed in the output piping has reduced too....

Just wonder Weipro 4000 too powerful for Weipro 2011 ? some reefer in this thread said if is too powerful will end up producing watery stuff... is that true for powerful pump? I notice that even use weipro 4000, the valve is 3/4 open in order to reach black rubber level..... hence I assume that the PS still can accept more powerful pump... any experienced reefer can help... Thanks!!

Why everyone can have kopi-O, some even have mocha but I only have Green Tea =/ ... , oh no,.. gonna change kopi tiam (because they dun sell kopi-o) !! hehe

If you have no fish, and no feeding...hard for the skimmer to skim kopi-O.......
