Green Mantis

While nuking my tank, manage to remove a green mantis shrimp about 2". It is now in a small container. Whoever wants it please PM me or it will be fish food.

The pistol shrimp in the container have already died and fed to my fish.

heard they taste really good........anyway y dun u keep him in a separate tank & just keep him as a pest ..i mean peT?......their feeding action really POWER!!....

I have the same crab (the corner left) brown colour too. Izzit harmful to keep in the tank or must I get it out?

Those brown crabs aren't exactly known to be harmful but most of us get them out anyway.

btw those crappy crabs won't stand a chance against the mantis who will probably snack on them later....

By the time the picture was taken, the mantis has already devoured one crab. The other crabs are pretty tough. The mantis is a clubber and I saw it club one of the crabs with red eyes on the pincer. Didn't do any damage.

These mantis sure are interesting, no wonder they have a fan club on reef central
