RAV-65
Hi all, i bought a new pink anemone... very nice in colour, some mild pink but the fella is hiding behind some rocks which i believe it can get any of the light... I'm afraid it might die due to the lack of light... Anyway to lure the guy out???? or just wait and wait until it wanna come out by itself? in order to get it out, i need to shift the rocks and thus it would affect the other corals i have, even if i shift the rocks, the fella might be clinging onto the rock and refuse to let go... Anyone can advise??? Vincent Ho Quote People do not plan to fail; Often they just fail to plan... Wat I do to prevent myself from tearing my hair out... My stress remedy... roidan
she is just acclimatising to your tank and water and once she is happy, if she is happy, she will come out for light..usually..she will plant her foot in some dark crevice and then push her tentacles out for light..monitor for about a week...every day try to see if she is still alright...try peeping in to check if she hasnt turned into a mush.... give her time.. SRC Member SBS_Transit Posted December 27, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2003 what will happen if an anemone dies in your tank ? what to to ? Quote SBS_Transit
SRC Member anakjoh Posted December 27, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2003 what else do u do with a corpse? Throw it away double quick - dying anemones raises ammonia to the sky and stink the tank real fast. Anemones like most corals are difficult to save unless you know the specific cause. SRC Member SBS_Transit Posted December 27, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2003 like that means any anemone or coral die means that the tank will 100%crash ?? no chance of saving the tank ? what to do ? Quote SBS_Transit
SRC Member AquaRa Posted December 27, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 27, 2003 unless your tank is huge. got more water to dilute
RAV-65
My anemone came out liao, though still hiding within the rocks, was missing for 1+ day.... dunno how long the fella intnds to stay there.... hopefully it comes out and opens up... SRC Member anakjoh Posted December 28, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted December 28, 2003 like that means any anemone or coral die means that the tank will 100%crash ?? no chance of saving the tank ? what to do ? Of course not... depends on extend of damage done... if the dying/dead anemone has not polluted the tank 2 bad, you could make water changes immediately. If the whole tank is already cloudy, u still have to make water changes n/or remove livestock if required.
