  1. technically most of these are live sand and will remain LIVE unless you remove it so I don't see why there's an expiry. However, over time, the sand do get less as some of it may be dissolved, water change, stuck to rock and removed in one way or another. I use caribsea and NO sands.. so far no problem, new set up also use caribsea Taihitian moon sand, so far so good.
  2. If you want equipment, there's a few places near the area u mentioned. At Sin Ming area, there's Reef Depot and Madpetz, in Serangoon North, there's petmart and in Yishun, there's a aquarium shop near central. Of course, there's also numberous aquarium shops that sell freshwater fishes and equipment. For livestocks, you can go GO at Upper Serangoon Road for corals, AM is at Upper Paya Lebar and there's Sealife at Balestiar area so there's still some choices. However, if you really want fishes/corals, farms in Pasir Ris, CCK and LCK are still the best choice.

  12. Six Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia)... It's actually quite hardy fish.. you may want to check if it;s feeding and also been in the LFS for a while. Do note that the six line wrasse can be quite aggressive despite its small size U prob need at least 3-4 ft tank.
