  1. Have a healthy RBTA for sale at $40. Opens up to about the size of an open hand. Collection at Clementi. Whatsapp/SMS me at 974seven 90nine5 if interested. pics
  2. no problems with that as NTUC bottled water is distilled water. just not very environmentally friendly with all the empty bottles and not pocket friendly too if you got a big tank. I also recall sweating buckets carrying cartons of bottled water home.. that is before I decided enough is enough and got a ro/di unit.
  3. i would frag it.. the middle portion between the already dead section and polyps section seems white and dying.
  4. i keep a group of 6 blue-green chromis. so far I do not see any problems of them living together. there's a bit of chasing here and there, and some aggression from the alpha fish during feeding, but definitely don't see them trying to kill each other. in fact, they tend to swim together. with time they also develop a very nice iridescent blue.
  5. sealife is at bukit merah now. taken from lfs directory: Sea Life Aquarium Block 107, Jalan Bukit Merah, #01-1830. Singapore 160107 Tel: (65) 6256 4727 Close On Every Monday and Wednesday this should be useful to you
  6. Sorry, just the OCD part of me taking over , but found that the title is spelled as Singapre Reef Club when visiting the main site http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php.
  7. very good info to help us all save some money. thanks for sharing.
  8. keep a log of the parameters and identify which one is fluctuating and try to keep them constant. one reading is just a snapshot of the parameters at one single point of time. what i learnt about sps is that they do not like big swings and changes in parameters. If you want to raise Mg, raise it slowly. I prefer to do it with a dosing pump so that I won't forget to dose. Realise your calcium level is a bit low too.
  9. you can feed them the marine algae if the brown diatom ever runs out. but i would take care of water quality first to keep the corals happy. at that kind of levels I might start worrying for the fish too actually. the copepods are thriving in there because you have essentially created a refugium. i wouldn't worry about their survival. they seem to thrive wherever they are isolated from predators (fish).
  10. they are probably feeding on the algae on the wall. shouldn't be a problem having them in high nutrients/nitrates tank. your corals might suffer though.
  11. Picked up by a nice bro. Thanks for the interest.
  12. Made some homemade food over the weekend and realised I've made too much. It's taking too much space in the freezer, so im putting the excess on sale. So far it has got my picky Majestic Angel eating, the rest of the fishes grab whatever their mouth can fit. So I guess the response is pretty good. I believe you should know what you put in your tank, so here's the ingredient list. 1. Fresh fish 2. Fresh prawns 3. Fresh squids 4. Fresh mussels 5. BSD arctic copepods 6. AlgaGen coral smoothie (Oyster delight) 7. Nori 8. Spirulina 9. Selcon 10. Garlic Selling a tau huay container (2/3 filled) for $10. Collection at Clementi. Only one available. PM me if interested. Mixing in the mussels Final product (size comparison, the bigger box for sale)
  13. that looks pretty big and mean. i've used a trap successfully to trap worms. you can give it a try too.
  14. i had a green bta and it just float itself into the rocks and died of starvation there. is there any surefire way to get them to stay at one location? planning to get a rbta but just afraid it will end up the same way as the green bta.
  15. tried them before. pretty professional. http://www.sgbros.com/
  16. Does peppermint shrimps eat majano anemones too?
  17. Hi all. Want to find out if anyone kept sand dollars in their reef tank for extended period of time? Im looking at getting one to stir and clean my sandbed a bit. But search online and find that many people do not recommend that as theres lack of food in our sand bed for them. Additonally, they also eats beneficial organisms in the sand bed. What's ur experience witg them?
  18. Just pay them a visit. I got mine from them together with the rodi unit.
