  3. Take note that PH will drop slightly during light off.. Best to measure during the middle of the day or in the middle of your lighting period (if you do not follow the usual 7am to 7pm)
  4. Last but not least.. You discover this forum where help is normally available..
  5. Last question, what is your return pump model and flowrate. Your chiller pump is rated 2400l/hour. Your return pump had to be much higher than 2400l/hour as there is head loss. You mentioned if you change to skimmer compartment, the water deplete very fast. I seriously suspect the final return pump turnover is lower than your Eheim 2400l/hr. For your info: My chiller pump and return is in the same last compartment due to space constraints but my last compartment is 1.5' by 1' by 1.5'. I tried to put the chiller pump at 1 end of the compartment and the outlet from the chiller to the return pump area (in the other end) to minimise the same chilled water going back to chiller. My chiller pump is at 2000l/hour while return pump is Eheim 1262 which is rated 3400l/hr, should be around ~2800l/hr(estimated only) after the 1.8m headloss. At least this way, my turnover for my sump (last compartment) is larger than the chiller feedrate. Although not perfect but it is the best i can have.
  6. Those freeze dried form a lot of places should have.. My choice will be C328 if you stay in WEST.
  7. I remember reading somewhere one forumer had his check valve failing due to debris trap at the ball. Thus it isn't fully closed and water still flowing back >> "Murphy's Law". A back up plan is to do what Eniram suggested. But again if a snail happens to the there, its again back to "Murphy's Law".
  8. Ya... forgotten peppermint shrimp.. Good aptasia buster and easier to get it feeding than copperband.. But very shy shrimp..
  9. Copperband is a butterfly fish.. Not safe for tube worm or tube anemone.. and quite difficult to get it feeding on prepared food..
  10. From my memory reading some review. Goodbye PO4 in general is good if you are into LPS. For SPS, due to the small precipitates.. which SPS might not like.. if they are not skimmed out fast enough..
  11. Good and quality equipments. Definitely worth the $$ for the whole set. By the way, to improve your sales. I think IWARNA charge a ~$300 for moving and setting up. You may check with them on the estimated cost so as to aid your sale.
  12. Hi bro, before you buy the external temperature controller. Why not remove the box and see if it is back to the usual performance without the box. Maybe it is just a concidence that the chiller temperature probe/controller fails when you install the box. That will be the final check, i guess. Of course, you might need to change back the old pump and old temperature setting for better comparsions.
  13. The link is from 1 of the sponsor: refractometer I think most marine shop should be selling. Got to ask them. Or look out for 2nd hand if there is any. ... normally selling around ~$35 +/-
  14. Hi bro, can PM me the source of your NSW. Reason i often buy from multiple source and without checking the SG. I only checked the main tank SG after i add it in.
  15. refractometer for sea water use.
  16. Hmm, from the price you paid. Should the the couple in front of Ah Beng? Last pc?
  17. Bro, I used to have similar problems and it killed my super suns.. I couldn't find any pest, the suns just dun open up and the the orange flesh just reside. What i did is frag the dead heads out and separate those heads near the dead one from the healthy ones. I manage to save some healthy one. My aim for fragging them up is hoping the "decaying" flesh does not spread to the healthy one. Also to create a buffer in case those next to the dead one are already affected but not showing signs yet. But it is really heart pain. I LOST 5 20cents head from that. 20cents is before open!!!
  18. Could it be some fish snatch the food away and tearing the tentacles along with the food??
  19. Sorry, pardon me. Is this butterfly fish reef safe? Would be interested if it is reef safe though. I had a mainly LPS tank.
