rainmalawi
Hi, I have been searching for detailed wiring guides for external temperature controller for non electrical trained person like me but I am unable to find answers. I hope someone can offer me layman guidance to this. I am buying Hailea HS 66 (1/4 HP) chiller and wanted to hook up to an external temperature controller. I think I should get the following items: 1. External temperature controller (ie. Fox brand etc) with temperature sensor. 2. 3 pin plug socket (for chiller power plug) 3. 3 pin plug (for controller power supply from mains) 4. Housing box to house the controller, 3 pin plug socket and wirings. 5. Cables for the wiring works (ie. 3 colored wires in one cable type) I think the controller unit should have many "connectors" for us to wire up the (plugs, sockets, sensor etc) Can someone guide me how to wire the followings: 1. How to wire up from mains (3 pin plug) to the controller? Which wire to which "connector" on the controller? 2. How to wire up from controller to "3 pin plug socket" (for the chiller plug)? Which wire to which "connector" on the controller and "3 pin plug socket" ? 3. Which wire of the temperature sensor to wire to which connector on the controller? Additionally, when selecting the external temperature controller, is there any important specification to look out for in order to be compatible with the chiller I am using? Thank you very much. finbir
Hi friend, Tinkling with electricity is no joke. If those with several years of experience, can pay a fatal penalty due to carelessness. It's totally different from getting zapped by torchlight batteries or that of a car. Best to get someone in the know to get it done legally. Happy reefing. Finbir.
