should allow multiple choice! and more options too..

Right now IMO the best to the least best fixture for SPS if $$ not an issue :

GHL Mitras

Maxspect Razor

Kessil

Pacific Sun

Orphek

Evergrow/ReefBreeders

Aqua illumination (only the Hydra and Hydra 52)

Radion (only the Pro)

All the above can grow SPS or color up them well but you have to factor in other issue to determine the best.

If $$ is an issue, the best bang for the buck LEDs will be :

Maxspect Razor

Evergrow/Reefbreeders

The Kessil or the new Maxspect Celestial uses single source multi-chip leds instead of the cluster led we usually see. I believe this should be a game changer espcially the maxspect celestial is cheaper then the kessil and yet programmable.

EvolutionZ's Floating Reef:

(Decommed) EvolutionZ's 4ft shallow Mixed Reef Build :

really impressive growth

beware of those red algae, and aiptasia

your rock might be leeching nutrients

me dose prazi twince to kill coraline algae cos overgrow whole LR but after coraline dead this red algae replace aiyo ... btw my nutrient consider high site becos if NO3 below 10ppm and PO4 below 0.1ppm my magnifica anemone will melt away so sps is ok with this nutrient level and those algae not killing the sps me ok with this already ... :P

I using single unit and it give me solid coverage over my 3x2x2..

Haha..

What cree, luxeon and what not I don really care that much la.. I am not so technical person, I trust more on experience :P

MORE importantly I like the color, the growth, the coverage, the style..

Beautiful colors using orphek. But expensive lightset.

I would say yes and no.

Yes if you are comparing 1unit to 1unit of other brand, it does cost more.

However, if you consider the coverage it provide then it is not that expensive at all.

For other lightset you might need atleast 2 units or even 3 units to provide the same coverage as single Atlantik, when you add up the cost, it will be similar in price or more ex than orphek.

And asthetically (fro rimless) , less lightset hanging give you better looking setup and less messy with less wire running..

Cheers
