AT, looked like you waked Harry up for that shot... :D

3 dogs is all we can handle, even four hands cannot keep up ^_^

MS is a very popular dog now, I have some quality local breeder contacts if you're interested. :)

I know there are more MS owners in this forum, hope to see them here.

I think he looks nicer with fur..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

My dog Sparky. Anyone here also keeping shetland sheepdog?

I used to love shetlands until I got my husky... :P

Now my all-time favourite is the Siberian Husky or maybe Akita. :yeah:

Let's see..

I used to have...

1) Siberian Husky (gave away :cry2::cry2::cry2: )

2) Miniature Schanuzer (gave to a widow for companionship)

3) Maltese (still have)

4) Yorkshire Terrier (still have)

5) Shitzu (still have)

And I also have a naughty kitten...would really love to have a puppy and kitten to stay together as I always believe they can turn out to be best pals... :P:yeah:

Yup...yup...let's have a picnic at Bishan Park? They can go for the dog-run... :P

hey rumor,

care to share how you keep ur 3 MS busy?

becuz i in the morning not in house and Davies will mess everything up. maybe that will persuade me to continue with it.:lol::lol:

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

To me, you will be unique in all the world.

To you, I shall be unique in all the world...

You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.

Till he matures, you'll have to take care of him. Consider getting a holding pen or gate to isolate him to an area where he still have space to move about, a kitchen or utility area is a good idea.

Ensure there are enough toys to keep him company, and make sure he can't hurt himself. Teach him where is the potty area is and differentiate it from where is the food and water.

There's quite a bit to read, just like this hobby, hope you did your homework.

In any case, in the morning, I'll make sure I give them all a good pat and that things are in order before I leave for work.

When I come back, I'll spend some time with them before shower, and again when we're watching TV, they will sit near us.

Take them out for walks on weekends whenever we can so they can socialise with humans and other dogs.

YOU ARE EVERYTHING

More importantly...talk to him and respect him. He also got mood swings.

Sometimes, he threw tantrums just so to get your attention as he felt being neglected...

I would switch on soothing music for him using a timer...Music therapy...:P And also let him think that he not alone... :P

Use the firm but gentle authoritative style to discipline him... :)

I highly doubt if they can understand the word 'dog' and 'boy/girl'.

They probably comprehend phonetics and associate certain words with actions or commands.

A dog can be trained to think that 'Bad Boy' is an affirmation of good behaviour by the word being associated with an affectionate pat on the head.

Likewise, you can scold a dog "Good dog!" and he'll associate that word with a reprimand.

It's logical because a dog brought up in a Hokkein speaking home won't understand the English version of 'pai si kow!'

don't know. read that from a book I had. says something about how you will bond with the dog first via such phonetic responses and not the other way round. like you say, the dog will probably take a "you stinky piece of %I@#^" as a complimentary comment if brought up in a weird environment. (=

even the dog trainer who trained me dog said so. dunno. I just say good girl to my dog everytime.

my five cents.

Blue Heaven, if your dog is destructive, most likely is cos he is bored. Buy more puppy toys for him to keep him occupied when you're not around.

Dat's wat I do when mine is a puppy. He'll be much better when he reaches 1 yrs old. :D

Mine daily routine now is wake up, eat, kai kai (poo & pee), sleep, wake up, eat, kai kai (poo & pee), sleep...
