If it is big..then you should catch it...otherwise, just leave it alone. As Barra has said...it aids filtration... :)

When it is dark, the worm will come out for feeding and that is the best time to catch it...pls use something other than your hands as their stinging needles will be impedded into your skin and cause a surging warming and itchy sensation.

1) Try turning the rock upside down and chances are, part of the body is hanging out of the rock.

2) Put the rock in a basin of tank water without any substrate and the wor will usually start crawling out. Then remove the rock, leaving the worm in the basin.

3) Or use the 'essence of chicken bottle' method. Once they climb in to devour the bait, it may be too smooth a surface for them to climb out...

bristle worms eat shrimps?.. they dun.. think you got crab problem instead..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

"Its easier to blame the 'mantis' or crabs in the tank for missing & dead livestocks.."

Ben

Are u trying to said thast arrow crab are reef save and it won't attack fishes like any other normal crab.

reef save? not I dont think so as nobody or animal could save a reef if its in danger.

All crabs wont attack other fishes cuz these fishes are bigger and moreover can swim around with counter attack. But when the fish is lot smaller, anything bigger will eat it when they can swallow it.

Some fish like to sleep in the life rocks (I forgotten which) and very stubborn, refuse to move at all when resting. So crabs or bristle worms will take the chance to eat it alive. Some animals are stupid, like humans so I believe this webs statements from sites: anything can happens.

i think the worms are pretty harmless unless they are really big. caught a few out from my tank already, but there are still bound to be some more in there...

just the other night after i have off the lights, i happened to see 1 of my skunk cleaner shrimp 'fighting' with 1 of these worms. :fear: in the end, the worm gave way & broke into 2. way to go man, my cleaner! :eyebrow:
