BTW..how is your wife's tank...???

LPS & softies in her tank is better than mine ;)

Bleached brain recovers, blasto in her tank is 2x bigger than in mine, etc.

Except she left with only one fish, the stuckup maroon clown (kept for 5-6 years). The other 3 (many years with us): yellow damsel, moon wrasse & bi-colour died in the black cucumber poisoning (when the fella get sucked into the pump).

I will post her tank soon..

You mean this is yours? :D:idea:

My goodness, you can't recognise this tank?

Go to reefcentral TOTM!

Linkin Park, don't you think changing 30-40% water will affect the fishes and corals i.e. effect on water stability, I though at most 20% should be good enough.

10-20% regular water change will reduce nitrate relatively less compare to a big water change.

I believe they appreciate cleaner water.

I prefer big water change (Salt manufacturer & LFS like it too).

Correct, is your tank always high on nitrates? A little nitrates is also good for some species of corals and clams. Normaly people do major water changes if they experienced problems in their tank like, toxic contamination by fishes, nudribands or corals through death, otherwise not necessary to change so much. Like you said, good for the salt manufacturers and the LFS. As long as your fishes and corals are happy, why not?
