zero_endless
a sicce extrema (2500l/hr) or ehiem 1260 (2400l/hr) or aquabee 3000>more suitable for EV-180. note: 3500L/h = 900gph. Required Pump rate for ev-240 = 900 - 1000 gph. EV-240 - at least 3500-4000L/h -can check with Edmund.
SRC Member Marineman Posted February 6, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted February 6, 2005 a sicce extrema (2500l/hr) or ehiem 1260 (2400l/hr) will do Tak cukup lah! Even an Eheim 1262 is not powerful enough. Zero Endless is correct. I remember Sugi uses Resun MD 55 to power his EV 240 for efficient skimmate production although he complained high power consumption by the pump. I currently uses their recommnded SEN 900 for this skimmer, still not at optimal skimming rate yet.
SRC Member diabolus Posted February 6, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted February 6, 2005 i think the Rio 32HF should be sufficient.
SRC Member wedgee Posted February 11, 2005 Author SRC Member Share Posted February 11, 2005 Sorry for the late reply, I had used an extrema with this skimmer and found that the skimmate produced was quite a thick looking foam... worked well for me! SRC Member prec Posted February 11, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted February 11, 2005 aquaC injection spray system will require pumps to work at 6ft height. so pumps like sen 900 wuld probably give better skimmate
