Got Goby?

Can different types of Goby house in the same tank? I've just bought a Rainford's Goby, and am thinking of buying more different types of Goby.

Dude, finally manage to read your mail. Yup, I have tried all sorts of Gobies. I think they are really the loveliest critters. But I have given up cos have difficulty feeding them. Had some Yashas, neon, yellow nose etc etc. Is there some kinda special food that they cant resist?

another reason may b e LFS u buy from...

e way they use to catch their fish mayb wrong like they din climatise e fish....

due to stress or disease tht r not visible to ###### eye they die on u...

but seriously speaking u neber succed with any gobies?

Well, bullies there are but they don usually bully the Gobies. My Gobies just 'disappear' after a while. heheh. I guess starved to death then become food for the 'bullies'. Maybe I should check that they feed first before I take them home from the shop.

also depends on the LFS u go to .. not that its totally bad or anything.. but for my fave LFS .. they dont have good keeping methods for gobies... usually the survival rate is quite low .. like maybe 1/5.. so maybe u try another source ..

I bought a pair of yashas together with one pistol shrimp, when I put them into the tank, they don't stay together and all went for their own hidings. Is it normal? Does those pair that you all bought behave the same way? Btw they are all paired together when I bought them.

normally e male yashias hav a black spot on e fin below their mouth,,,

normally e female got more stock..

male one bunch only got one lehz..

further more they will change their ###### one...

if only one mayb it will just stick to being female..

My yasha always stay at the back on the tank below a rock...anyway to get it to come out to the front to become its home? It is very healthy and feeding, but just tat its house is behind...how long does it need to be able to be brave enough to come to the front?

normally it only like to stay ard its hse cus it nid to keep a lookout for it randalli shrimp living with it..

hey i need some help, i juz got a high fin goby, those with the yellow head and brown bands on the body. got it eating mysis and brine shrimps on the first day upon introduction. for the next 2 days it keep changing holes and now i didnt see it for the last 48 hours even during feeding i suspect its in one of the holes between 2 of my LR (quite big cant see the fishes hiding in it).... is this common ?? as in the dish MIAing ...

mayb u cant spot them only lahz

dun worry they r around ....

its call yellow nose high fin antenna goby..

they will try n find new home till they comfort...

even them they may still change hole.s...

It is a jawfish... One of the rarely imported ones...

Search for Acanthocepola indica... Should be able to find some more info..

All i know is they need deep sand bed like Garden Eels...
