ID Fish

Hi Guys,

I mentioned about a fish known as Longfin in my last thread....

Here is a picture...

All I know is that this fish grows to a length of 8 inches.... are related to assessors and are difficult to obtain since they are very elusive... (have not seen even one in any LFS)....

Frontal views are hard to ID.

Can you take a full body length shot?

It looks like a blenny or wrasse... it's a sanddweller from the looks of it.

Maybe a sandperch...

Will try... elusive little bugger... hard time getting him to pose for me...

Tried to ID it with those reference book.....closest was a Longfin....

Anyone can help or have seen this in LFS????

Not blenny. Doesn't have the muppet look.

Are you sure you want that fish? Doesn't look too spectecular.

It does look dull but I have not seen one since I got this from Reborn.....

So maybe would just keep him ........

I saw some fairy wrasses at Reborn a couple of weeks ago..last week went again they were all gone...I suspect yours might be an duller mutation?

At first I thought it might be a juvenile Comet.... but was wrong......
