What went bust? Just because the agent was no longer on their dealer list anymore, then they said ATI went bust and promote another brand as replacement and claim they are all the same. Whether they are the same or not is not relevant. Sad to say sometimes, people will get all means to lied to consumers and to get business.

Lots of answers can be found on the net, you only need patience to find it.

Many unnecessary incident had happened in this lovely forum. The most recent is the skimmer incident where PM came into this forum to fire at some sponsor on the next day of the posting.

Have you ever wonder how did PM get to know about the skimmer? My opinion (only mine) is that someone or maybe some competitor had led them to this forum.

Maybe i should also do that, lead ATI to that thread!!???

No. we are not gulible. most of us are simply too trusting. if we have to verify each and every statements, what is the use of this forum anyway - somemore, the person sounds credible.....hopefully, next time when mis-information are presented someone in the know will immediately step out and ask for clarifications instead of letting things pass....

lucky we are not in the states......the person in question might actually be sued by not only the manufacturer....but also by all those deceived by him as obviously this misinformtion was provided for fininacial gain.....

hopefully, someone can get in the tubes for a longer term basis.....

anyway.... ....back to the bulk purchase.....

Can share your view why ATI so good and cost 50% more than other T5?

frankly i have no experience with ATI........but i have tried D&D, the so claim equvient of ATI......

I'm one of the 'ichy' backside person that brought 1 D&D and 1 of each of the other brands (much cheaper....) and tried it out......there is no question about the brightness....and because all the tubes that i tested was actually new tubes with color temperature more or less the same, i can confidently conclude that D&D is the brightest!!!!!

Bros who have visited my place during that period i also showed them the differences and all agreed that D&D is brightest....

given that there is only that amount of hood space and we are still consumping the same amount of electricity....why not go for the better tubes if you can afford.....

(PS: i tried about 3 other brands of HO T5 with 1 even claiming to be german made - the only brand that i couldn't get my hand on was the aquamedic tubes...these are also about the same price as ATI but was out of stock when i did my test....)
