Any suggestions how to get rid of them?

every time i try to get rid of them, they will retract into the LR.

Chucky meant the green nuisance algae.

The ones you're talking about (retracting into the LRs) are aiptasia and they are harmful too.

aiptasia are difficult to eradicate, coz they multiply if are broken up.

also they sting corals and even anemones.

i use flame from a lighter preferable those wind proof type; lift the LR out and burnt it till ash, not even a single piece of charred portion should remain; they will come back one

another mtd is to use chemicals and inject using syringe; but never tried that B4, scared may contaiminate tank

but the file fish will peck on hard corals.. tt wad i face...
