Very sad my 2.5 years (since April 2003) Red Prata is wasting away, probably won't last thru the weekend. Bought for about $40 then it had gone thru several bad patches but everytime it survived & came back stronger. About 2-3months I notised it was not opening as big as usual and not wanting to eat. I tried shifting it to several locations but condition remained the same . It got smaller and smaller and last week it accidently fell off from a rock & had a bad tear. It never recovered since. The flesh is breaking now and I don't think it can survive past the weekend.

Anyone can HELP :cry2:

Attached 1st series of photo from April 03 to 04

2nd photo just last month

3rd photo this morning - left it under shade

My condolence bro. Heard that for prata, once it acclimitized in the tank, don't shift it around. You cause more stress that way. My experience is, once they are dying, it is very hard to reverse the process.

BTW, you got it at a real good price back then. Now the price is 4-5 times more.
