I've recently upgraded from Sicce Multi 2500 to Aquabee 3000. I am extremely happy with it... despite the high cost. IMO, both Eheim and Aquabee are very good and reliable pump. In the end, it's up to you to choose a more exclusive brand (Aquabee) or a more mass market brand (Eheim) coz Eheim also produces low-end products.

hi all like to check wif all bro n sis that me thinking of upgrade my up flow pump current using eheim 1262 n thinking to change to eheim 1262 or aquabee up3000 may i know which is better :(

1262 = 3400ltr with max head 3.6m, draws 80W

1264 = 4500 ltr with max head 3.5m, draws 100w

Aquabee 3000 = 3000 ltr with max head 3m, draws 45W

One draws more power but produces more flow at higher head and the other lesser power but low head..

Aquabee is better in this sense, what about pricing comparison

Which LFS got it?

Sorry for all the bombardment.

Thanks.

"Max Head" is the maximum distance the pump can deliver the water without losing the flowrate... (more layman way of describing) correct me if I'm wrong pls.

eg. 3400ltr with max head 3.6m will mean that if the distance between your sump and tank is less than or equal 3.6m, then you can achieve 3400 l/h flowrate. if its more than 3.6m, then flowrate will drop below 3400 l/h.

However, you also have to take into consideration any elbow joints you put into the return piping as this will affect the flowrate as well. My 2cents worth.

i think the max head is the farthest distance it can go vertically before no water can flow out from the pump or piping attaching to it.

the flowrate will reduce as the vertical distance between ur return pump and main tank increases.
