SRC Member jemarcus Posted November 21, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted November 21, 2006 $10 for 30, bro i'll be rich? its foc. and fyi, pods on the whole there are 3 types. copepods amphipods isopods copepods are really small, and u probably won't notice them unless u put ur face real close to glass. and even then, they could still be hard to spot unless u got good lightings. i have both amphipods and isopods readily available, and they can be seen easily. SRC Member iantoh Posted November 21, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted November 21, 2006 bro BFG, bro taylonghee and i might be making an order through oceanpods, but we're not sure of the shipping charges yet, and my primary concern with live shipping is the hassle of recourse should the critters turn up half dead. real glad jemarcus is helping us! bro giantbicycle! thanks alot for your offer. Please let me know when i can come visit ya. ive neglected my tank for quite long now, so trying to get everything back in shape, beginning with the zooplankton, hahah.. cheers, ian Quote My Goniopora Nano! SRC Member tayhonglee Posted November 21, 2006 Author SRC Member Share Posted November 21, 2006 hey ian, about my pm to you earlier, i was wondering if we could maybe do a bulk purchase. let me email some copepod vendors and see what comes up. im actually looking to share a bottle with as many people as possible, mostly because im trying to breed them for my tank, and not use directly as a food source (too expensive )

Achilles Tang
seriously, buy a good quality liverock and you have all the pods you want if you keep them in a tank with no fish/shrimp to prey on them!

SRC Member jemarcus Posted November 21, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted November 21, 2006 there we go, AT has spoken. my pods didn't come from my rock. i got the rocks from another reefer. my pods came from a water column from some one else's tank, i don't know who. :rolleye: www.melevsreef.com the best site i have ever been across. sump designs, info, diseases. this site gonna be a mini encyclopedia

SRC Member iantoh Posted November 22, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted November 22, 2006 hi there bro jasonpoh, itd be great if you had copepods for sale, as im sure there are others like me who'd like to introduce more zooplanktonic creatures into their tank, as often, populations dont achieve a critical breeding mass such that they are sustainable on their own, and will need replenishment. if you have copepods for sale, pls do pm me ya. thanks alot, cheers, ian Quote My Goniopora Nano! SRC Member BFG Posted November 22, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted November 22, 2006 Iantoh, if you want to order, I would like join in too. I know there would be some DOA but those remaining could still be use too. We could share the cost. I also need pods as I have mostly dead rocks, bought them as I was on a tight budget and time frame. How?
