Partially correct.

Depending on your maximum current of your driver and your LED array maximum per rung current

The positive of the first LED in each rung will go to the positive of the driver and the

negative of the last LED will go to the negative of the driver

Hope this help

Just came across this website, reefledlights.com today. There are many useful info about LED diying needs for newbies which include how to diy LED, Driver FAQ, Optics Evaluation, Color Balancing, Wiring Diagram, PAR comparison with optics vs no optics, soldering, troubleshooting....etc :yeah: .

If you are going to diy your own LED lighting, this may be one of the good website to read and learn from... !

wonder where you get this heat sink this time.

This one is a small fin heatsink so can be easily source from SimLim.

  • 2 months later...

After 18 months of running my LED lighting with success of growing birdnest, milli, zoa and other corals, I'm going to pursuit further by revamping my current one to widening the LED's color spectrum and also to have better viewing pleasure for my family members.

I have drafted a few layout plans and the attached picture is my favorite one but not confirm yet.

All LEDs will be controlled by my Profilux Light II controller and powered by dimmable Meanwell and/or Luxdrive BuckBlock/FlexBlock LED driver.

All comments & feedback are welcome..... .

Start to work on it but at a very slow pace.

Till now, all parts are old stock which kept in my storeroom since mid 2010 except the grey enclosure from RS recently. Since it's the upgrade of my current diyed LED, so I 'm re-using some of the CREE LEDs and order some from either Cutter, LEDGroupBuy or LEDsupply but not decided yet.
