The plate is doing well, just fed it with shrimp this am.

Another addition over the weekend.

Introducing, Copperband Butterfly!

Very gentle fish that got bullied constantly by little Yellow Tang.

But its doing pretty well, nipping away on my LRs.

Sad morning, my Copperband passed away...@ ard 8am...zzzzzzz

if your yellow tang has been chasing it, may be stressed by the YT and too afraid to come out and feed and slowly died off... I have lost fishes this way to my Flasher Wrasse which I m trying to trap and let go......

Jim, ya i m guessing that as well. Its pretty weak and defendless against my little yellow.

sometimes i have to intervent to get the yellowtang off its tail... >.<" Its true, copperband didnt get to eat any foreign food i threw in, even cypofreeze...

Siang, probably the spike in the PO4 contributed, i have yet to test my water, but everything seems to be in good condition. Hopefully, nothing happens...

My analysis so far.

1. Water level were too low yesterday during the night.

2. Powerhead was switched on and forgotten to off it for continuous 5 nights

These 2 affected the temp in the tank.

3. Possible nitrate spike, that affected the fish and shrimp...

Thats what i think happened...

Any1 has any other possible analysis?

Ps: Currently, after adding water, all colors are back to normal.

Ato definity is gold! But having a tank beside your work desk is already quite prominient, not to say about having another ato setup.

Yup, I would place my bet on the temp spike, but so far, no xoral had suffered. still temp issue?

Checked my no3, max 5 reading... But the most ????? Questionis, how does my dead dottyback got into the betta boz filled with chaeto and corals frag,

Fish fights? It was once the king of this nano...well, I shall remeber this adopted pet, whose death will always be a mystey that will never be solved .

Anyway, had done a 50percent wc. Hope everything will be back to normal....

i think the key to a successful

nano tank is bioload~

As long as a single fishe up lorry in a

nano tank(esp without notice), problems may arise in

water parameter.

Keeping yellow tang in a nano tank is not very advisable

Lesser fishes, Lesser problems,

= less worries

Yeah, totally agree.

Infact, my previous life stock of 7 fishes were the max.

Any new one added, will contributed to death till 7 fishes maximum.

Now, i have only 5. Will not be adding anymore soon.

Once my home tank is ready, will be pulling all fishes home.

And this tank will be my frag tank. haha :)

Can you believe it, i only received 1 quote since...(i only asked from 2 suppliers)

Anyway, i had already scraped the idea of DIY wavebox. Too much risk involved.

Already got hold of 2 waveboxs :) waiting to be operational.

It is really slow leh.. Yeah, it is better to get a commercial ones..
