I just got 2 pcs of the Par30 LEDs from Aquarium Artist. :ThanxSmiley: Vincent for your excellent service. I have been waiting for a smaller version of the par38 and immediately when they arrived, I didn't hesitate.

Aesthetics and flexibility of positioning are important so I selected the track mounting. The 2 smaller LEDs at each corner of my tank are my DIY moonlights. Idea came from Jack.

Tank with just the Par30 on

Tank with moonlights and Par30 on. This is when my ATI PM is switched off.

I tried once. Got it from SL at a super healthy condition but I had a green wrasse in my tank then so probably that was the cause of the death. Heard from Thomas Lim that no reefers here had success in keeping this fish alive. Well, I would want to try again if SL brings in another time. Lemon, let me know if SL brings in again. :thanks:

no one in singapore succeed before except the one in reef depot's show tank. it died due to addition of sand in which it got buried in it.

choat's leopard has been brought in by sealife, LCK, reborn and reef depot.

succees rate is low. you need to make sure nothing is exerting aggression on it, and you need to de-worm them fast. give them time to settle down. if they survive they will make for a stunning display.

Would only get from SL. How do u de-worm the fish? I bought a par30 and not par38. Price is comparable to par38. Par38 is brighter but bulkier.

you soak fish food in praziquantel and feed the fish.

praziquantel will kill any internal parasites and worms. very important for if not, the fish will wither away despite feeding. that's what happened to my previous choati.

Me think this chaoti and all leopard wrasse are too fragile. I've tried a number of them, latest last year around September, with a small number of fish in a 4ft tank and they only last a month despite them feeding heavily and not being harassed. Now am staying away from this species.

again as i said, deworm.

without deworming them, the success rate can drop to as low as 0%. they almost always arrive with internal parasites.

it's not true choat's leopard cannot be kept in captivity. they can.

but as you mentioned, they are very fragile and also they must be de-wormed. once done that, they must be in a tank that is suitable for them. anything but absolute luxury will spell doom for them.

many people in the states have kept choat's leopard with much success. live aquaria's display tank at rhinelander has 4-5 specimens living in a harem and they are doing fantastic.

Some micro shots of some sps.

Just got this purple Porites & blue Digi, maroon polyp (pic below) from GO shipment yesterday. Sorry, cant get a close up shot of the blue digi but I like the contrasting colours of that pc.

An encrusting Monti from Pinnacles

My collection of clams (2xsquammies & maximas)

My collection of BN. There supposed to be a Ponape and BOP but cant bring out the colours

Last shot for the day

No more space for anymore colonies so will just concentrate in maintaining the tank and letting the frags grow  .

My bn section is already at the bottom of my tank already. Maybe, when the frag grows larger, will try to place a frag even lower. Tks!

After adding 2xPar30 to supplement my existing 6-tubes ATI powermodule, found some colour improvements on some sps. Eg, managed to get a blue tinge on my pink millis. Since then, I added another Par38 on the track. What I like about this track is that I'm able to slide the holder along the track to focus on selected sps placements. Switch on the Pars for a total of 5-hours. Attached are some pics on the par30 & 38 bulbs and 2 moonlights.

Tremendous growth rate on all my BN, esp the yellow. However, they are all so pastel. Even my supposing Ponape, BOP (from Jack) & bi-colour (from Wilson) are all pink when placed in my tank.

Some Digis (orange, lime green & purple blue) on the left of my tank. Wilson, your bi-colour is below the orange digi. Your pink digi is beside it as well but in my tank, it's orange <_<

Very nice grow, never see much fishes, maybe the nutrients super low. So the colour of the SPS is pastel.
