angels fighting

Recommended Posts

Hi reefers,

Today i just bought a sixbar angelfish.

When i added it in my 4ft tank, my emperor angelfish (juvenile) of the same size, started chasing and attacking the sixbar. now the sixbar is hiding under some rocks.

What should I do?

Bro, u need to do more reading. If u can catch the emperor and quarantine till yr six bar is stable, that will be good, if not, use mirror or keep yr finger cross.

I presume your tank is already 'mature'. Personally, I isolate all my new fish to get them to feed or get use to the fish food. Once it recognised what is food and 'fattened', release into main tank. I find new fish will stand a much better chance surviving the senior tank mates. For me, taping a mirror onto the tank will work for most fish but my emperor is not interested.

Read more from the experienced guys here, anyway I am still learning too........

thks for senior solo and sam's advise..for now the sixbar has braved itself to come out of the rocks and stay in the open..the emperor still gives it a peck upon sighting the sixbar but the sixbar seems to be able to evade the attack..and the emperor is not on a search and destroy mood..so as long they dont cross on each others path..still ok..

No senior and learning from one another. Good to hear yr six bar is a bold and brave one. Once yr tank get a bit mire saturated, thing might not work out that well. So do yr planning, especially wat to put. Not easy as I myself is a fish person and can't control. Don't follow my foot step. Good day.
