SRC Member Sherilyn91 Posted December 14, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted December 14, 2014 Hey guys. Recently decomm my rainbow R300 nano tank and upgraded to a 2ft cube tank. Transporting the tank from seller house. The tank in my room Started washing the tank last weekend using artificial vinegar and some metal blade for scraping purpose. (didn't have any photo on it) Filled the tank up with fresh water and let it run for 2 days for testing purpose. Started scapping yesterday. Thanks to those that contributed to the LRs. Scapping is lack of some height. Will add in probably next week. Another angle. First compartment of sump tank being filled up with sponges, bio home and coral chips. Other compartments will be up soon! Stay tune. DIY my own lighting and mounted on my ceiling. 2ATI tubes with led (120W led which I got from fellow reefer). Pls ignore the heart shaped night light. Haha Bought 18 packets of seawater from LCK. Total of 270kg worth of water loaded into my car back seat. Driving at 40km/h back home and had to carry al 18 packets up home. Horrible experience but thank god it's only for one time start up. TADA! Almost there. Currently sorting out my wiring for the equipments. Stay tune for more updates

SRC Member redsuns Posted December 16, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted December 16, 2014 Nice. You can consider using a filter sock as well to catch detritus so you do not need to suck up too much of them from your sump.
